VK Gupta began building the foundations of RETC starting with his own local investment properties and personal residence in 1986. VK quickly found himself representing the homes of family and friends. Shortly thereafter, he discovered the great potential of incorporating Commercial and Business Personal Property accounts into his already successful business. He now focuses primarily on Commercial and Business Personal Property accounts, and has expanded his expertise across the nation.

Over the past 24 years of property tax dealings, VK has formed lasting relationships with appraisal districts. He ultimately achieves millions of dollars in tax savings each year. VK recalls the first instance that eventually led to the founding of RETC:

“When I opened my first property tax notice in 1986, I began wondering if the amount of property taxes I owed was above and beyond my fair share. I soon learned that I could protest my taxes and benefit from the tax savings. I shared this knowledge with my family and friends, who then asked for me to protest on their behalf. The next thing I knew, I was representing over 11.7 billion dollars in properties all over Texas and the US”.
